Dr. Mercedes Juarez de Robert
(Mexico)

Public health specialist with 25 years experience as consultant, trainer and researcher in the fields of women and development, health policy, reproductive health and gender issues; adviser in the health sector to governments and international institutions such as World Bank, DGIS, DANIDA, DfID, UNFPA, WHO and UNICEF in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America; responsible for Women's Health in the Health Care Department (G&Z) at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) Amsterdam (1991-1997) and currently an independent consultant.
